Sustainably SEVEN

Chiptech has been working to understand the full environmental impact of our manufacturing processes, including those of our suppliers. In partnering with the team at Talbots Technology in Ōtautahi Christchurch, we can now make a portion of our base unit cases from 100% reground plastic that would have previously been disposed of as part of their manufacturing process. Approximately 4% of the plastic production run would have been wasted without our new reuse initiative.

100% Reground Plastic

Reground base units will be identified by being stickered with 100% Reground Plastic and Chiptech Recycle symbol.

You may notice the base unit is not perfect,  it may have a few spots and swirls, but this is to be expected; functionality and longevity of the case remain the same.

The SEVEN case manufacturing processes creates excess plastic

Excess plastic and imperfect mouldings are kept

Reground into plastic flakes

And remade into SEVEN, as part of our reuse initiative.
