Door Sensor

Provides an early alert for doors opening unexpectedly.

Our Adi Door Sensor is designed to oversee the well-being of those facing cognitive challenges, proactively addressing the risk of extended absences during both day and night.

It supports people in a range of lifestyle scenarios by providing an alert either when someone leaves a room or property, when a door is left open accidentally, or as an early security warning when a door is opened unexpectedly.

Features

Dual function
While the primary function of Adi Door is to provide an indication of whether a door is open or closed and highlight a potential risk, Adi Door also features a Help/Duress Button that can be used to summon assistance.

Easy installation
Adi Door and the associated magnet can be attached to the door and frame using with foam pads or screws, with no wiring required.

Low battery reporting
When the Adi Door battery reaches 20% capacity, it automatically sends a report so that the battery can be proactively replaced, ensuring continuous operation.

Who is it for?

Adi Door enables people with dementia or cognitive impairment to live supported and safely in the community. When Adi Door is activated, swift and appropriate measures can be taken to check on the safety of a person, including helping them to return to their home environment.

The ability for Adi Door to prompt a rapid response, not only reduces the emotional and physical burden of caring for someone prone to leaving home unassisted but also reduces the risk of them coming to any harm.

Alert Handling and Response Processes

Adi Door Sensor detects when the door opens or closes by sensing movement from its matching magnet. It wirelessly sends signals to the SEVEN base unit. You can choose to receive alerts all the time or during specific hours, like at night. When an ‘open’ alert is received, SEVEN can sound an alarm or quietly report the event for appropriate action.

Adi Door Sensor Magnet signaling and alerting when a door opens.

Alert
When the magnet is separated from the Adi (by a door opening) it will send a signal to the base unit.

Alert Received
At the reception of each signal the base unit is configured to either sound a local alarm or send a quiet report to responders so the event can be recorded, or assistance can be actioned.

Restore
When the magnet is back next to Adi (within 20mm) it will also send a ‘Restore’ signal to the base unit, the base unit typically handles these by silently reporting the change in status.

Button Press
When pressed, the button on the Adi case will either send the Alert type i.e. Door open, or activate a Help or Duress alert. The base unit is designed to be able to behave differently depending on the signal received.

Small form factor case

The magnet can be installed with a maximum distance of 20mm between the case, ensuring effective functionality while maintaining a subtle appearance. Additionally, the case is safety compliant and waterproof to IP67 standards, providing reliability and protection against environmental factors.

Configurable Help or Duress Button Alerts

A single grey 15mm soft button in the center of the case for efficient pairing and range testing.

Button is recessed to prevent false activations, but easy to press with tactile feedback when the button is activated.

Can be configured to activate a separate ‘Help’ or ‘Duress’ alert, while the change to the Adi Door Sensor connection will send a report for the device type configured, i.e. door sensor.

Small form factor case.

The case design is stylish and discrete, ideal for installation on a door without attracting unwanted attention.
