Junior / Intermediate Manufacturing Systems Engineer

We are seeking a motivated Junior Manufacturing Systems Engineer to support our Production and Manufacturing Engineering teams. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate or an early-career engineer who is passionate about electronics, automation, problem-solving, and learning how modern manufacturing systems operate.

Working alongside experienced engineers, you’ll gain hands-on exposure to production equipment, process improvement initiatives, testing systems, and Lean Manufacturing practices while developing your technical and professional skills.

About the Role

Reporting to the Manufacturing Systems Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in supporting production performance, quality outcomes, and continuous improvement projects across the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting senior engineers with process improvement and test development projects
  • Supporting the maintenance and optimisation of production equipment, including jigs, fixtures, machines, and tooling
  • Following and maintaining established quality control and testing procedures
  • Collecting, analysing, and documenting production and test data to support continuous improvement activities
  • Providing technical support and basic troubleshooting assistance to production staff
  • Learning and applying Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies
  • Contributing to initiatives that improve efficiency, quality, and manufacturing performance

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong technical foundation, excellent problem-solving skills, and a genuine curiosity for how things work.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Knowledge of C# and/or Object-Oriented Programming
  • A solid understanding of electronics principles and circuit design
  • Experience with C/C++ programming and microcontrollers
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as Altium or SolidWorks
  • Experience designing for 3D printing
  • Strong debugging and fault-finding skills
  • A methodical approach with excellent attention to detail
  • A willingness to learn and follow established processes
  • A proactive attitude and strong teamwork skills
