Local Disconnect Device
The Local Disconnect Device is connected to additional telephone jackpoints in a house to disconnect phone equipment plugged through it, to allow emergency activations to be reported to the monitoring station.
The Local Disconnect Device works on different jackpoints than the ERIC or PRU base units to disconnect telephone equipment such as telephone, fax or dialup Internet. All Chiptech base units already have disconnect technology built into them, so equipment plugged through their supplied phone lead will already be disconnected.
