Chiptech's Big Building Project Nears Completion

Following months of planning, Chiptech has finally expanded into the premises next door. When the opportunity came up to buy the adjoining building, we didn't hesitate because more room was badly needed, and being able to expand without moving our factory, was always the best option. The project got underway early in the New Year, and apart from the usual building activity, there has been minimal disruption with staff being very patient.

We have nearly doubled our floor space to include another large production room for housing the extended production line, additional workspaces for R&D and administration, and a new workshop area. The addition of a larger boardroom, means we can now accommodate everyone comfortably at our weekly staff meetings.

Chiptech chose a team of quality architects and builders to ensure the end result was of a high standard, and could be completed as quickly and seamlessly as possible. The staff was consulted at the beginning of this process, and everyone was encouraged to have input into the design. Graeme Moore, Chiptech's Managing Director said, " The aim was to create more space while maintaining our unique environment, and to provide good workspaces that encouraged productivity. We are very happy with the result."

The finishing touches on the expansion are underway with completion planned for the end of June, and we are looking forward to our 'opening ceremony'.
