CE mark for PRU

The Personal Response Unit known as PRU, from Chiptech's Smartware range, has recently obtained the CE mark. PRU easily complied with the safety and emissions standards, taking Chiptech another step closer to entering the United Kingdom and European markets.

PRU is part of the Smartware range, which is highly reliable, intelligent hardware used to monitor the wellness of individuals in their homes. Smartcare is being developed as custom or packaged software solutions for monitoring companies. Smartware and Smartcare solutions enable people to age in place with confidence, security, and the knowledge that help is available should they require it.

With its innovative products, Chiptech has been supporting New Zealand's older population for many years. The Managing Director, Graeme Moore, decided it was time to offer Chiptech's expertise overseas. 'We are happy to sell offshore now that we have a product we can support wherever it is in the world, using PRU's ability to upload and download information and settings over a standard phone line. We are very proud to offer an attractive and affordable system that integrates a range of advanced monitoring features with the capability of operating as a future platform for home health monitoring devices.'

PRU, and some of the Smartware and Smartcare solutions will be seen on Chiptech's stand at MEDICA 2008 . MEDICA is the world's largest medical trade fair and is held every year in Düsseldorf Germany.
