We have done it!
The new Pearl transmitter/transceiver has exceeded our expectations with exceptional open air range.
Pearl prototypes have been finalised and the latest testing carried out on the 4 November has resulted in an open air range of 233-266m from the Personal Response Unit (PRU).
The stylish and compact design of the Pearl pendant and wristwatch has met with very positive response from our customers who were lucky enough to get a sneak peak before samples were whipped away to the UK.
Reuben O’Callaghan, Chiptech Product Manager had this to say. “The design of Pearl has been extremely successful, creating a product that is small and highly attractive but does not compromise on range, battery life or durability.”
Pearl is designed on the 869MHz social alarm frequency band for the UK and EU markets to accompany the European PRU. Graeme Moore, Chiptech’s Managing Director, is attending the Telecare Service Association (TSA) conference in London from 15-17 November to meet with partners and introduce Chiptech’s latest telecare and telehealth products; the European PRU and Pearl transmitters. Pearl, technology to treasure, reassures the end users that their alert for help is being sent. When they press their button and the alert is received by PRU, the outer edge of Pearl illuminates in red and flashes to reassure the user it has been received.
The transceiver in Pearl also enables the upload/download of data and reconfiguration of settings remotely e.g. changing the button press time.
